Bharatpur residents in preparation for ‘Bharatpur visit year 2024’

With the announcement of Bharatpur Visit Year 2024, the construction of tourist infrastructure has increased. The residents of Bharatpur are ready to provide food, accommodation, sightseeing tours and cultural performances to domestic and foreign tourists who come here during the visit year. The people of Bharatpur have kept proper storage of the necessary items to prepare Raithane food here during the visiting year.

Navin Shrestha, a resident of Bharatpur-24, told the tourists that they have processed and stored the food to make millet and phapar roti, ghat dal and pidalu vegetables. Chowdhury said that preparations have been made so that a set of ghungi can reach 100 tourists in a day.

Recently, dozens of homestays have been opened to accommodate the tourists who come during the visit year. With the addition of dozens of homestays, there are accommodation facilities in homestays with a capacity of about 200 beds in tourist destinations such as Meghauli Golaghat, Patihani Jagatpur, etc. In Bharatpur Metropolitan City, there is a system that can provide accommodation facilities to 7 thousand tourists daily, while Gandakota and Sauraha are included, and there is a statistic that 15 thousand 700 tourists can be accommodated.

The number of jeep safaris in Bharatpur has been increased targeting Bharatpur visit year 2024. Jeep safari vehicles have been added with the assumption that the main choice of tourists will be jungle safaris. Bishwaraj Subedi, a tourism expert consultant of Bharatpur Metropolitan City, said that earlier there were only a dozen jeeps operating, now there are three times more jeeps. There is an arrangement to enter the headquarters of Chitwan National Park through Kasar for jeep safari. The hotels built in the coastal areas of Rapti and Narayani rivers in Bharatpur have been operating their own jeep safaris, now they are going to make separate arrangements for jeep safaris. There are jeep safari packages from 1 hour to 4 hours from Kasara. Tourism expert Subedi informed that preparations are also being made to add more boats to Rapti and Narayana.

Bharatpur has statistics of 30,000 foreign tourists annually, and the Metropolitan Municipality has set a target of bringing in 200,000 foreign tourists and 500,000 domestic tourists in the year 2024. With the aim of giving something new to the tourists, tourists come especially for visiting Chitwan National Park, elephant safari and jeep safari. A tiger cage built in Bharatpur 6 Devanagar has been constructed to show tigers to tourists during the visit year.

The chief conservation officer of the park, Dil Purja, informed that the tigers in the rescue center of Chitwan National Park are going to be transferred here in the next few days. In this place, the work of wire fencing has also been advanced so that rhinos can be kept there.
