Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) current Women’s Vice President, Rozina Pradhan Rai, has announced her candidacy for the position of Open Vice President at the organization’s upcoming 12th World Conference and General Convention.
Rai, who has been actively involved in various responsibilities within the NRNA since 2007, stated that she is contesting for the open vice-presidential position with a commitment to strengthening, unifying, and elevating the organization to a higher level. Elected as Women’s Vice President during the 11th General Convention, she clarified that her decision to run is not driven by personal ambition but by a long-term commitment to the institution’s prosperity and sustainable growth.
Announcing her candidacy, Rai acknowledged the challenges currently facing the organization and emphasized her dedication to promoting broader unity, transparency, and institutional strengthening. She recalled that even while serving as Women’s Vice President, she worked beyond considerations of gender or community, collaborating for the overall benefit of the organization, Nepalis worldwide, and Nepal itself.
Embracing the organization’s core motto, “Nepali for Nepal,” Rai also presented a clear vision focused on future generations. “It is not just ‘Once a Nepali, always a Nepali,’ but my determination is to ensure that the descendants of Nepalis scattered across the world are recognized as respected Nepalis and to contribute to building a cultured and developed Nepal,” she said.
Describing her candidacy as a symbol of shared responsibility and collective effort, Rai expressed her expectation of support, trust, and cooperation from all Non-Resident Nepali brothers and sisters around the world.
