Indian actors Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda are currently celebrating their pre-wedding festivities. Amid the joyful atmosphere, a touch of cricket has made the celebrations even more special. During the sangeet ceremony, Vijay’s mother gifted Rashmika a traditional family bangle as a token of acceptance and love.

The wedding celebrations began in a unique and intimate way. Instead of starting with traditional pre-wedding rituals, the couple kicked things off with a sporting event. The wedding venue in Udaipur was transformed into a live cricket ground. Both actors shared glimpses of the event on social media.

This special arrangement gave family members and close friends from both sides an opportunity to bond through the game. Interestingly, both teams were given the same name — “Viros Premier League.” Relatives and close friends of Rashmika and Vijay participated, adding a fun and sporty vibe to the wedding festivities.

The wedding is set to take place on February 26 at The Momentos by ITC Hotels in Udaipur. All guests had already arrived by February 23, and the pre-wedding celebrations are in full swing. After the cricket-themed event, traditional ceremonies like haldi and sangeet are scheduled to follow. A grand reception is reportedly planned for March 4 in Hyderabad.

According to a report by India Today, Vijay’s mother, Madhavi, presented her future daughter-in-law Rashmika with ancestral bangles during the musical evening, making the atmosphere emotional and heartfelt.

Rashmika and Vijay first appeared together in the 2018 Telugu blockbuster Geetha Govindam, where their on-screen chemistry was widely appreciated. They later starred together in Dear Comrade in 2019.

The duo will once again share the screen in director Rahul Sankrityan’s upcoming period action drama Ranabali. The film will also feature Arnold Vosloo, known for playing the villain in the 1999 Hollywood film The Mummy, in a significant role.
