The winner of Miss Grand Nepal 2025, Jessica Singh Thakuri, has officially relinquished her title.
In a statement posted on her social media platform Instagram, she said she was compelled to step down due to mistreatment, continuous pressure, and serious concerns regarding her mental and physical health. She described the decision as one made with deep pain but clear understanding.
Thakuri stated that winning the title had been one of the proudest moments of her life. However, she felt it was necessary to resign in order to protect her dignity, values, and self-respect. She added, “My experience with the national organizing body became the most difficult and heartbreaking chapter of this journey.”
She further claimed that during her international participation, she faced mistreatment and even threats. According to her, the ongoing mental pressure had severely affected her health. Although she remained silent for a long time in the hope that the situation would improve, she ultimately concluded that no crown is worth more than peace, health, and self-identity.
Jessica also expressed gratitude to everyone who supported and believed in her on the international stage. She announced that she will soon release a detailed video explaining the full reasons behind her resignation and sharing more about her experience.
