The Film Development Board organized a two-day “Spot Sync Sound Training”

The Film Development Board organized a two-day “Spot Sync Sound Training” program under its Skill Enhancement Year 2082 initiative.

The training, aimed at promoting the technique of recording live sound directly at filming locations, saw the participation of 22 trainees. The program was conducted by the Board in coordination with Audio Visual Society of Nepal (AVSN).

With the growing practice of using “live sound” during film shoots in the Nepali film industry, the training has been regarded as an important technical step forward.

On the occasion, Board Chairperson Dinesh DC stated that such training would help technically empower directors who aim to record high-quality sound directly on set. “Among nearly two dozen skill enhancement programs, ‘Spot Sync Sound Training’ is a significant one,” he said. “We are also preparing to organize its second phase soon.”

The closing ceremony was attended by AVSN President Bipin Sthapit, Board Member Birendra Bhatt, International Film Committee Member Bishnu Sharma, officers Hari Singh Raikhola and Nirmala Chaulagain, among others.

According to the Board, the training is expected to help reduce reliance on dubbing in Nepali films and strengthen the use of original sound and realistic presentation.
